Chimp Shot in the UK
A chimpanzee in the Whipsnade Zoo was recently gunned down by "the zoo's specially trained firearms squad." When asked why it was gunned down, a spokesperson who asked to remain anonymous was quoted as saying that they "have to shoot to kill when they have an animal who might be of danger to the public."

There is some evidence presented in the past that primates other than humans may carry viruses capable of turning people into zombies. Additionally, there is evidence...

'Drunk riot' in the UK
In a story posted recently a riot was reported in the Martha's Vineyard bar in Hebburn, South Tyneside. Although drunken riots are not uncommon in bars, it is worth noting that drunken riots are typically coverups for zombie outbreaks. Drunk riots are commonly used because the dead can resemble the drunk.

ZombieMeter analysts advise people in the Hebburn area to be on high alert today. Particularly in regards to the injured police, who would likely not have been quarantined....

Man beheaded with a chain in UK flat
A tenant of a UK flat was found dead earlier this month, his head severed with a chainsaw. He was reportedly the last person left in the flat, and his head was severed clean off with a chainsaw, but it's reported that this was a "non-suspicious death". In fact, the article itself uses the phrase "non-suspicious", or a variation of it, five times!

There are some people who suspect that bribary was involved, but ZombieMeter analysts suspect the living dead. The...

West Mercia Zombie Incident UK
Thanks to a tip from a reader, ZombieMeter was alterted to a likely zombie-related incident. Specifically, A story recently reported by the BBC regarding a murder-suicide in West Mercia.

A number of things make this likely to be zombie related. The man involved apparently killed his family, blocked his front gate with a horse trailer, and then killed himself after setting the house on fire.

Likely the man was bitten along with the rest of his family by zombies, and to avoid letting the...

Lack of room for bodies in the UK
An alert reader has informed us that approval has recently been granted in the UK to exhume corpses and rebury them deeper to make room for bodies.

There are, however, a number of red flags that this raises.

The story says that bodies will be exhumed and reburied deeper. Perhaps this is simply an excuse, though -- what if the bodies are being buried deeper for other reasons?

Additionally, the article says that these efforts may help relieve disposal efforts in pandemics. Is the...

Bizarre Zombie-Related hunting gyrocopter incident
In a BBC story it was reported that a man belonging to a hunting group was killed when he was hit in the head by gyro-copter blades at an airfield near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, on Monday.

Although details of the case are very sketchy, and seemingly being withheld by authorities, it appears that the incident is zombie-related. The gyro-copter was apparently reported to be following the group of hunters for a number of days, or at least one day prior to the incident. The *victim*...
