There are some people who suspect that bribary was involved, but ZombieMeter analysts suspect the living dead. The man was clearly beheaded by a zombie hunter (albeit one using a ridiculous weapon), and police, not wanting to cause a scare, ruled it non-suspicious.

Because it's literally on the same street that I live on (although an hour or two west), I didn't realize what was happening, initially. But, as I read articles from various sources, it became obvious: this must be a zombie situation!

Think about it -- an unprovoked attack that was extremely gruesome, involving 60 stab wounds, ending with a beheading. What else could it be? The stabber was clearly attacked, and tried to defend himself. After dozens of stabs didn't stop the zombie, he realized what was going on and beheaded it, saving himself and everybody on the bus.

People in Winnipeg and Portage la Prairie should be on their guard. The University of Manitoba may be a safe place during an attack, because it's fairly big, so it can support a lot of people, and has a lot of empty ground around it. Additionally, there is a retired military base on Grant Avenue that could provide shelter, although I'm not sure if it would be safe to use.

UPDATE: It has come to my attention that the attacker displayed no emotion during the attack. As such it is possible that he had already been infected.

Additionally, he was accused of taunting the police officers at the scene; is it possible that he was trying to explain to them that the victim was a zombie, and the police just thought he was making fun of them?

UPDATE 2: Witnesses at the scene reportedly said the suspect was tall, large, and wearing sunglasses, even though it was dark. This further supports the theory that the man may already have been infected.

UPDATE 3: Further reports from new sources indicate that there was cannibalism involved on the part of the attacker. This further strengthens the theory that the attacker had been bitten and was becoming a zombie.

She apparently became irate and her, along with a mob of people attacked the officer and his partner. It was reported that one of the officers was bitten in the attack, and required hospital care.

The incident was reported as mob violence, and it was reported that members of the mob were arrested. However, ZombieMeter has analyzed the story and there is a high likelihood that it is zombie related. The excuse of an attacking mob is often used to cover up zombie attacks.

Furthermore, the police attacked by the 'mob' are reportedly on sick leave and are not available for public interviews. ZombieMeter believes that the officers, as well as the few attacking zombies that were captured have been quarantined. ZombieMeter will be watching this closely, and further reports will be made if more developments occur.

It is widely known that zombie activity often results in a high number of dismembered body parts, and the incidents on the west coast of Canada are no exception. Dismembered feet are the most common type of body parts found during or after zombie outbreaks. This is because, when there are limited numbers of zombies, they feet are dead for too long to be palatable to zombies by the time they eat their way down there.

Furthermore, the reports that law enforcement have no leads or clues surrounding the washed-up feet is a substantial sign that they are covering up a small zombie outbreak in the area.

Due to the nature of the incidents, it is likely that the outbreak is small and somewhat naturally contained; it has not yet spread to cities. Given the terrain on the west coast of Canada (forested and mountainous outside of cities), it is likely that the zombie outbreak is restricted to a rural, forested area near the shore. Also, considering that currents on the west coast of Canada typically travel southwards, it is likely that the outbreak is along the central or northern coast of British Columbia.

In a recent report scientist Peter Schultz admitted that the event was indeed a meteorite. Apparently the reason it was not recognized as one initially was because it did not fit the standard meteorite modus operandi. Most meteors break up and slow downs as they travel through the Earth's atmosphere. This one didn't. It reached terminal velocity and vapourized on impact, leaving a clean hole in the ground.

What this means to ZombieMeter analysts is that it was likely a zombie cover up as reported earlier. He bit the man on the neck, hip and shoulder, "causing serious open gashes and deep flesh wounds," jail records said.

When police arrived they were also attacked. The details of the attacks targeted at the women in the house and the police officer's doing the arrest were not reported. However, it can be assumed that they were similar in nature to the bite attacks.

Stories such as this one are highly likely to be zombie related. This one specifically states "No medical condition was listed for the bite victim", which likely means that the doctors were baffled as to why the bite wounds turned fatal. ZombieMeter analysts can only hope that the people involved in the altercation were quarantined. However, considering the number of people involved and the range in severity of the attack, it is unlikely they were. As such, a wide scale breakout may be inevitable.

The original cable cuts were blamed on ships' anchors dragging across them, accidentally severing them. However, the first cable cut was in a secure zone, and couldn't possibly have been cut by a ship. Additionally, images shown in this blog would lead even the casual observer to see that the cable cuts are not just random, but they're completely calculated.

Many theories have been posed, anything from a planned invasion by another country to Cthulhu awakening and getting tangled. ZombieMeter staff, however, suspect that the cause is more supernatural than an invasion, and more likely than Cthulhu: zombies.

If an area was overrun by zombies, it would be in the best interest of certain entities to keep it under wraps. Cover-ups, media black outs, and lies are often used to hide the fact that it's happening. In this modern age of Internet and communication technologies, a story like this could spread across the Internet like wildfire.

As such, one strong indicator of a zombie outbreak is a complete communications black out with the affected area. This widescale communications disruption could be exactly that: a way to prevent the story from spreading online.

In an area overrun by war, it is only natural that experimental weapons will be developed, and, in some cases, backfire. It is possible that one of these weapons were zombies.
